Not a CLM

Can you manage contract negotiations on the V4 Final Platform? Yes. Definitely. Is it a CLM? No. V4 Final is built to handle all types of legal requests - including contract negotiations - but is not limited to contract workflows. V4 Final was built after years of dealing with a whole variety of ad-hoc legal requests with very few (if any) clear instructions regarding what issues and requests were most important for our clients. Combined with relevant business information being squirreled away with individuals throughout the company and "matter management" systems that were designed for law firm use cases, and we knew there had to be a better way to manage legal work in a way that was more than just reactionary to the loudest demands of the day.

Legal Team Performance Management

Years of in-house legal practice showcased hard-working teams of amazing legal minds that still struggled to prove their worth when it came to year budget cycles and resource allocation. Great teams that drove business outcomes could still only figure out a couple of metrics to demonstrate end-of-year value: (1) spend; and (2) contract volume. Yet there was so much more that was being done!

V4 Final combines the discipline six-sigma process controls to the practice of transactional legal advising, but without requiring timesheets and extra-curricular metric tracking. Work done in the system is automatically measured for business priority, complexity, throughput times from request initiation through closure, and workload volumes.  Beyond just "number of days to turn a redline," we measure various requests types across corporate divisions, geos, business units, practice areas (and more!) as well as response times from stakeholders and final actions taken by business clients after legal fulfils the request. Not just "Did the contract get signed?" (although we do that) but also "Did the marketing campaign launch?", "Did the patent get filed?", "Did the Employee Handbook get updated?" and so much more.

Deep insights on the impact and value of the legal team - from the individuals up through the entire team, both in-house and outside counsel. Get real data to drive strategic visions and programs, making sure your legal team is "right-sourced" for the client's needs.

The First Client-Centered Legal Tech

V4 Final is technology designed to drive the performance of your legal team. But it's not built for the lawyers - it's built for the client. It isn't about having fingertip access to global case law or a library of academic journals at the ready. It's about easy access to the business information needed by transactional lawyers to give not just great legal advice but the right legal advice for the client to achieve their business goals while complying with and respecting the law.

Good lawyers know how to advise on the law. Great lawyers know how to advise on the law while achieving business impact.

Technology Built for Trust

Built by lawyers and technologists with backgrounds in law, cybersecurity, data protection, privacy, and digital regulatory compliance, V4 Final solutions are designed from the ground up to protect the confidential and privileged information in-house legal teams need to be effective at their jobs. Designed to run entirely within a client's environment, with built-in controls for the protection of privilege, V4 Final is not your typical tech startup. No co-mingling of customer data. No training our own artificial intelligence machines on customer data. We're here to make lawyers amazing business partners, not to feed a "big data" machine with customer confidential information.

Yes, we have AI - and we continue to develop and work with customers on how they can use and track their own AI-based systems to ensure they are earning the ROI that was sold to them on those systems. We are committed to the secure and responsible use of AI, respect for secure development, deployment, and support, and compliance with global requirements for transparency and accountability are in our DNA. We know how hard they can be to "bolt on" later, so we're designing and delivering with full knowledge of the trust you will need to put into a solution with access to sensitive business and legal information.
